Within the efforts of the Ministry of Interior in combating the crime and arresting the outlaws, Jahra Security Directorate has been able to arrest two persons who stole a vehicle and sold it.
Thus, a citizen gave information about the theft of his vehicle (Ford Explorer type, Burgundy color) in Taima Police Station. He also informed that he saw his vehicle in front of one of the homes. Thereby, the Operations Room sent a Security Patrol to that home in order to conduct the necessary legal investigations.
Upon their arrival at the intended home and asking its owner about the vehicle stopping in front his house, he denied knowing the vehicle and called his father to know if he has any information regarding that one. He made sure that he recently bought it.
Once the buyer arrived the home, accompanied bi two people one is unidentified nationality and the other is a Saudi citizen, they tried to escape while seeing the Security Men but they arrested one of them.
The other defendant escaped in one of the houses as he was arrested after taking the permission of the home owner. They searched it and found out the keys of the stolen vehicle, in addition to a bag contains a substance suspected to be a narcotic. Thus, they were referred to the Drug Control Department to examine the content of the bag and it subsequently identified as a sugar.
On their turn, the patrol Men handed over the defendants to Taima Police Station and referred them to the Competent Authority to take the legal procedure concerning both of them.
Finally, the General Department of the Public Relations and Security Media urged the Citizens and expatriates not to purchase any vehicles after making sure of its Ownership papers in order not to be subjected to any legal accountability.
